Congratulations go out to Callum Lloyd who won the Welsh Under 14s’ Championship when he defeated Rhys Thomas 3-0 in the final. Callum stamped his authority on the game with a clear 3-0 victory after beating Swansea’s Ieuan Davies 2-1 in the semi’s by the odd frame.
This was the final event of four in the under 14series and was a fiercely contested affair with a Welsh Team place as the prize. The top ranked 6 players will represent Wales against Ireland later on in the year.
Young Suraj Singh (Cardiff) who is only 10 yrs old reached the semi-final which secured him a place in the Welsh Team with an excellent win over Kieran Elliot of Swansea 2-0 in the last 8 of the competition.

Jordan Dubesky (Swansea) won the plate competition beating George Jones (Pontardawe) 2-1 in the final. This is the first time George has reached a final. Well done.

Welsh Under 14´s Event 3 / Rileys City Road / 28 December 2008
Callum Lloyd won his first event of the season and in doing so spoiled Rhys Thomas 100% record by defeating him 3-1 in the final.
Thomas, looking to make it three out of three in Under 14’s. Events this season took the first frame with a break of 37 after Lloyd had owned up to a foul when in a good position. From then on it all went Lloyd's way as he won the next three frames for victory.

The plate competition was won by Rhydian Stringer (Barry) who defeated Swansea’s Leon Rogers 2–1 in a very close final.

From an entry of approx 30 players the Under 14’s kicked off the new season with Rhys Thomas (Trethomas) winning his first major Tournament when he beat Swansea’s Iuean Davies convincingly in the final by 3-1. On his way to the final he beat Callum Lloyd by the odd frame 2-1 Ashley Summerhays 2-1 Lewis Heath 2-0 and Ross Axworthy 2-0.
Runner –up Ieuan Davis also played well to reach the final beating Zac Jones 2-0, Ryan Rowlands 2-1 and Liam Hall Swansea 2-0 who done well to reach his first semi-final.
